| Background: |
Zhongshan People s Political Consultative Conference is a Government event held annually. The main function of this is to group together people representatives with different backgrounds for discussion on key administrative functions such as political consultation, democratic supervision etc. Annually, some over 400 participants from different government departments attend this conference. Due to the sensitivity of the agenda and the variety of participants, there is a great demand for a new system to provide an effective access control solution for obvious security reason. |

An effective access control solution should provide reasonable degree of accuracy without causing too much delay on the entry of authorized personnel. To this end, Titanium makes use of its advanced face recognition technology to develop a system catering for this need. |

Titanium uses its global award winning face recognition and face learning technology, integrated with the conventional access control systems, to provide a robust and effective solution. To operate this system, an Access Panel (equipped with a digital camera, optical illumination and keypad) is placed at the entry point.
At the access point, the participant’s facial information is captured through a video camera and the face recognition software calculates and compares it to pre-loaded images for entry authorization. To ensure a high degree of security, this solution is also used in conjunction with a personal smart card for all participants. It will also monitor and record the number of times a certain door is accessed.

Titanium’s advanced system can precisely identify users, hence the unauthorized access will be denied, and it can also accurately count the authorized users who attend the conference as well. In addition, its dual-mode (card and face) authentication ensures the highest degree of security. With its state of the art technology, the system can execute the recognition and authentication processes with a high speed that the reaction time is less than 3 seconds. Additionally, Titanium’s integrated systems are cost-effective that the automatic operation can replace manual works with the aim of saving the manual power.
